I was cleaning out a closet the other day and stumbled across some yarn left over from other projects and old buttons. These are the perfect materials for making walker pockets, wheelchair pockets, lap blankets and other handmade crafts to donate to the local VA Hospital for our wonderful veterans.
I find crocheting a way to relax - on the couch with an old movie on TV is a nice compliment too! And being able to use this skill to make something needed and appreciated by a veteran is a bonus.
I've posted some crochet patterns on pintrest that I've found. Some I've tried; some I plan to try soon. Maybe you'd like to make something too! Join me in this rewarding project.
