Day 51 of 110: Lay Lights - a Unique Historic Preservation Project in DAR's Own Library

Following an earthquake that shook Washington in 2011, DAR inspected its national headquarters buildings for damage. Little damage from the earthquake was discovered. But, DAR was alerted to serious deterioration of the 100 year old DAR Library lay light at DAR Headquarters which required an extensive and immediate restoration.

Following is a video of the images related to the restoration of the beautiful lay lights in the DAR Library. It was an amazing project to undertake and the glass panes are even more amazing in beauty with their restoration.
